The History of Minerva Tyres

Originally a luxury car manufacturer, Minerva has come a long way since, now offering affordable budget tyres to motorists around the world. Minerva’s luxury car production began back in 1906, giving them a wealth of knowledge and experience in the motoring industry. After a pause in production after the Great Depression, Minerva made their debut back in the motoring industry in the production of Minerva tyres in 1990. Since then, Minerva tyres have been adapted and produced in many ranges including specialist summer and winter tyres.

Why Choose Minerva Tyres?

There is a set of Minerva tyres for everyone. Choose from Minerva’s versatile range of specifications, sizes, and compounds to find the right tyre for your vehicle.

All Minerva tyres manufactured are designed to meet the needs of European motorists. Expect stability at high speeds, low rolling resistance and exceptional handling and grip on both wet and dry roads with Minerva tyres.

We also stock Minerva tyres that are ideal for vehicles that frequently carry heavier loads. Minerva tyres are designed to ensure even wear throughout the lifetime of the tyre, to ensure ultimate longevity even when driving in off-road conditions.

XL stands for Extra Load. They use a more reinforced compound to carry heavier loads, but are the same size as normal tyres. If your car had XL tyres factory fitted then you must choose XL tyres for any new ones you buy.

    Winter Tyre

Winter tyres perform best in temperatures below 7°C. The rubber compound is specially designed to react better in colder temperatures which improves road grip. Some winter tyres have studs to help grip on snow and ice.
